Life Update
Hey guys!!! Welcome back to my blog! Hope your week was great!
The past two weeks have been pretty crazy so I thought for this weeks post, I would give you a little life update! First things first, I just started a new job at Lowes. It's going well so far and I actually really like it. I do not know anything about hardware or hardware stores but I am learning! I feel really empowered every time I leave and that keeps me wanting to go back. I work in the flooring department so I'm learning how to cut carpet, put in details, estimates, and installations, answer questions, and about different tiles, vinyls, and hardwoods. All of that said, it has been a lot to adjust to being a full-time student and working a little over 25 hours per week. I have been feeling very unorganized and tired because I am almost never alone, I am hardly ever home, I am not eating at normal times, and I am not always doing my school work when I normally would. The good news is, I am finally getting caught up and have a better understanding of how to juggle everything!
Easter is coming at the right time! The problem for many this semester though is that there is no Easter break. I know a lot of people who have expressed their disappointment in this lack of break but we will get through it as we have gotten through most things during this crazy pandemic time! I was excited to find out that Lowes is closed for Easter this year and because I live only an hour away from the Mount, I will get to head home to spend the day with my family! I do feel bad for those who will not get to do so though this year.
On a lighter note, among all the craziness I have been doing a lot of fun and relaxing things too. Just yesterday I got to sit on my friends porch and enjoy a cup of coffee while I listened to the rain and looked out at the mountains and the Mount campus. Moments like those make entire weeks for me!
Thursday morning, my roommate and I both woke up stressed. After we got a few things done, we decided it would be fun to do something peaceful outside. We ended up heading down the street to the dollar general and picking up some paints and canvases! We sat in our yard and listened to the birds, painted, and ate breakfast. It was the perfect morning!
All of that said, life is great. It is very busy and very stressful sometimes but that is the way I like it and I wouldn't have it any other way. As I seek balance in my life and schedule, I have a great group of people who make everything worth doing and so so fun! I hope if you are reading this, you have or can find the same!
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! I'm Nicoletta and I'm just happy to be here 🤗 HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!! ❤
